Are we there yet?

This week has been challenging. Between my "job" & the kids & home responsibilities, I have had barely any time to get things done for Blessed Twelve Fold. I am quickly reaching the point of what I am starting to call my "are we there yet" syndrome. Logic tells me that slow & steady wins the race but I just want to get there!!
But some great news is that I got in contact with a vendor, who has adorable products by the way, who is participating in a baby expo in TX in the fall. She will be handing out baby gift bags for free to everyone who stops by her booth & offered to include Blessed Twelve Fold marketing material in the bags. They are expecting 3500- 5500 expectant mommies, grandmommies, etc. That is huge!
I know this weekend will allow me some time to work on the site & my FB page has 48 fans!! The cocoons came in today & they are oober cute!

Social Networking

Today I am endeavoring into the world of Social Networking. I created a Facebook page for Blessed Twelve Fold a few days ago & am trying to get people to "like" it. I've been "friend requesting" like crazy. I've found a few sites that "promote" your business but I'm not real sure how that works yet. I'm finding that the hard part in all of this is that the site hasn't officially launched yet. I was really hoping that this would be ready in June but July is seeming more realistic. I've run into a few snags like, the web designer had a baby 5 wks. early & one of my seamstresses went & got appendicitis! I'm thinking that continuing to push my site even though it's not launched will get me some good exposure in preparation for its launch.

Welcome

First of all, Welcome to My Blog!!

I hope you thouroughly enjoy witnessing my pain as I embark on this endeavor of starting an online business. All kidding aside though, this is tough. It seemed so simple in my head but as I am fast learning, from head to launch is a bumpy, tiresome, complicated ride! The hard part has really been though, navigating through the world wide web.
Ah, yes, the "www monster" as I frequently find myself calling it, is nothing short of complicated. A few months ago, before I began this endeavor, I thought I was a pretty saavy chick, well let me tell you, NOT THE CASE! Between ecommerce & dashboards & CSS & lets not forget my favorite, search engine optimization I am lost & so now I find myself "blogging". Another feat that is nothing short of miraculous. But in the end, I hope that as everything comes together, you will also witness my joy. My joy that began with an "aha" moment on a Caribbean cruise last March.
